I recently ran a three-hour workshop on editing your own work as part of the City of Stonnington’s [untitled] literary festival. All the people that came along were actively writing and looking forward to publishing their work, and wanted to make it as polished as they could. We looked at the three levels of editing and worked through a few practical exercises. It was a lively and fun morning in the light and airy Malvern Library, and I can’t wait to do it again.
Update: To my delight, I received an email from the library saying that the feedback from participants “…was overwhelmingly positive and 100% of respondents rated your presentation as ‘excellent’ and would recommend it to a friend.”
