Architecture at the Heart of the Home
This is the latest of many projects I’ve worked on as a freelance copyeditor for Thames & Hudson. Jan Henderson and Dianna Snape have produced a survey of outstanding Australian residences that explores the role architecture can play in defining the heart of the home. Created during the COVID-19 lockdowns, Architecture at the Heart of the Home was truly a labour of love for them.
My role was to copyedit the manuscript and liaise with the authors, raising queries and offering suggestions, prepare the Word file for the designer, and check page proofs. It’s always a delight to see the early PDFs of these Thames & Hudson books – the photography always blows me away and really helps put the words into context.
