I’m really excited and proud today! My book, The Gigantic Book of Genes, has been named a Notable book in the 2017 Children’s Book Council of Australia Awards. The category is the Eve Pownall Award for Information Books (won in 2015 by Simon Barnard for A-Z of Convicts in Van Diemen’s Land, which I worked on as an editor). I’m passionate about making science and technology interesting and accessible for kids, so this means a lot to me.
