This edition of their trade magazine, SPECIMEN 7, covers issues like counterfeit prevention, how to manage public expectations when a reserve bank designs and produces a new banknote, and a tiny, tiny engraving of Jane Austen on four Bank of England £5 notes that the public hunted for with as much fervour as Charlie had for one of Willy Wonka’s Golden Tickets. As the editor, I also got to flex my mathematical muscles on some complex graphs as well as making sure the technical information was as clear and comprehensible to non-experts as possible.
